probably the 'Eureka' model circa 1880, with 8 1/2in. nickel-plated brass barrel stamped with 'PAT JAN 16, JULY 18 '76, PAT IN ENGLAND' , octagonal black-painted cast iron body with nickel-plated end caps, the front example supporting a mushroom-headed plunge cocking rod, bolt action loading, small cast pistol-grip integral to the body drilled for shoulder-stock (missing), the iron surfaces retaining much original paint
