circa 1890, with 11in. round barrel signed 'MANUFACTURE FRANCAISE D'ARMES ET CYCLES DE SAINT-ETIENNE' with traces of gold-inlay, bead fore-sight, dove-tailed notch rear-sight with additional folding leaf, pre-charged cylinder beneath the barrel with knurled decoration numbered '16734', action engraved with foliage and scrollwork, rotating 'trough' tap (ball from handle missing), walnut straight-hand butt-stock with chequered grip, horn heel-plate, engraved iron trigger-guard and adjustable trigger, the whole retaining traces of original finish with some mild pitting throughout
