A 30-BORE FLINTLOCK BOXLOCK OVERCOAT PISTOL, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number,
circa 1790, with plain tapering 3in. turn-off barrel (frozen), square boxlock central hammer action engraved with musical trophies (traces of silver gilt, possibly later), sliding safe to the top-tang, slab-sided walnut but inlayed with silver wire scrolls and chequered along the back and concealed folding trigger
