circa 1750, with rapid tapering triple-stage banded cannon barrels, rounded boxlock actions with border and scroll engraving, signed 'J HORTON', carved pans and engraved central hammers, swollen bag-shaped walnut butts with silver wire scroll inlays, white-metal grotesque mask butt-caps, sliding trigger-guard safes TOGETHER WITH a later wood case fitted for these pistols and including a 19th century powder flask and a brass barrel-key
