A CASED 32-BORE PERCUSSION OVER-UNDER PERCUSSION BELT-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1850, with re-blued 4in. barrels engraved with a band at the muzzles, flat sighting plane signed 'WILKINSON, LONDON', bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight on the re-blued scroll engraved long top-tang, squared scroll engraved colour-hardened action (traces of original colour), asymmetric side-hammers with sliding safes behind, finely chequered figured walnut butt, silver clipped corner rectangular escutcheon to the wrist engraved with a lion holding an anchor, engraved iron pommel-cap with concealed trap in the centre, border and scroll engraved trigger-guard bow, blued iron belt-hook to left hand side of action and iron stirrup captive ramrod with spring retaining clip to the lower rib, COMPLETE WITH its manufacturers mahogany box with rectangular flush-fitting handle to lid, the interior lined in green baize and compartmented for the pistol and including a three-way flask, loading rod and turn-screws
