30in. nitro reproved bold damascus barrels, sunken rib gold-inlaid in script 'ELLIOTT'S PATENT' and engraved 'WIGGAN & ELLIOTT MAKERS TO THE ROYAL FAMILY & THE PACHA OF EGYPT', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, some pits, Anson & Deeley patent barrel-cocking boxlock action, patent no. 1756 of May 11th 1875, use number 5028, with rare configuration incorporating H. Elliot patent single bite, patent no. 1782 of July 16th 1863, action flat marked with Anson & Deeley patent details and 'W PHILLIPSON', top tang with Elliott paten details, automatic safety with gold 'SAFE' detail, push forward underlever, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, 13 7/8in. well-figured stock with carved shell panels, with unusual 'reversed' horn buttplate, bolstered fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 1oz.
