English, circa 1855 and probably made by J. Webley, with 4 3/4in. octagonal barrel signed 'T.BRADBURN LONDON, border engraving to the muzzle, blade fore-sight, notch rear-sight to the open half-strap, plain cylinder with border engraving to the front edge, border and scroll engraving to the open frame, spurless hammer with side-spring hammer-safety, swept chequered walnut grips, iron scroll engraved butt-cap, scroll engraved trigger-guard bow, 'Colt' type take-down wedge to front of frame, and 'Colt' style under-barrel rammer the whole with traces of original blued finish
