A 16-BORE FLINTLOCK BRASS-BARRELLED BLUNDERBUSS, no visible serial number,
circa 1760, with triple-banded heavy round brass barrel, the top signed 'I. DAYKIN NOTTINGHAM' near breech, solid square iron tang, flat bevel-edged lockplate signed 'I DAYKIN' in a banner forwards of the hammer, dog safety behind the hammer (frozen), walnut hand-rail full-stock molded around the front barrel band and carved around the top-tang, brass escutcheon to wrist engraved with a royal bust above a wreath and below a motto (rubbed, feint), plain brass furniture including spurred heel-plate and full side-plate, iron sling-swivels and original brass mounted ramrod
