circa 1868, with ovoid 4in. barrel, flat sighting plane, crescent fore-sight, the top-strap signed 'E.M REILLY & CO, 315 OXFORD STREET, LONDON', plain solid iron frame, plain cylinder with rear ratchet locking, spurred hammer (extreme top cracked off and missing), chequered saw-backed walnut grips, iron pommel with lanyard ring, spring catch cylinder axle release, the whole refinished with some discolouration, COMPLETE WITH its original manufacturers oak storage case, compartmented and lined in blue-black velvet, 'E.M. REILLY' clipped-corner parchment trade label to inside of lid and containing the revolver and two 'E.M. REILLY' japanned circular ammunition tins
