"THE SANDRINGHAM" FOR TWO INCH CARTRIDGE', 2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 (No.1) and 1/4 and full (No.2), wall thicknesses below recommended minimum, Rigby Class B actions with removable striker discs, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, finely engraved with bold flowing stylised acanthus leaves on a partially matted background, retaining traces of original colour-hardening (No.1) and some original colour-hardening (No.2), 15 1/4in. well-figured stocks including buttplates (No.1 lightly ink enhanced), weight 5lb. 10oz., in a Holland & Holland lightweight leather motor case
Provenance: The vendor has kindly informed us that gun No.1 was made for F.H. Bailey in 1937 and that gun No.2 was also made for him and delivered the following year in the Summer of 1938
