Provenance: The vendor has kindly supplied us with the following information:

"This is to confirm that W.W. Greener's started to make Gun No:73700 on the 30th August 1938.

It was a 32"double barrel 3" chambered non ejector 12b Wild Fowling Gun priced at 17 Guineas but not completed until 30th September 1945.

Unfortunately due to the effects of the second World War my Father had lost interest in shooting and the gun went unused until I first used it on a weeks holiday wildfowling at 'Gedney Drove End' in Lincolnshire in the Autumn of 1956 It was next used by me to repeat that holiday back there in 1960. From that day to this the gun has remained in my possession and never fired again."
