29in. nitro barrels engraved 'BOSS & CO. 13. DOVER STREET. PICCADILLY. LONDON. W.', short sight rib with fine acanthus scroll detailing and gold-inlaid '1', side ribs, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 choke in both, wall thicknesses below recommended minimum, Boss 1909 patent action incorporating J. Robertson (Boss & Co.) patents 3307 (hinged stud piece drop down action) and 3308 (ejector) of 10th February 1909, Boss improved patent single-trigger, patent no. 11278 of 30th April 1905, hold-open toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, rolled-edge triggerguard, best fine bouquet and scroll engraving, retaining traces of original colour-hardening, 14 7/8in. highly-figured replacement stock, weight 5lb. 4oz., in its lightweight leather case

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed as one of a trio of guns on the 4th November 1914 for the Count of Csekonics (Budapest)
The serial numbers for the trio were 6475 / 6476 / 6477
