circa 1850, with 6 3/4in. octagonal barrel, the top-flat signed 'HARKOM, EDINBURGH', dove-tailed bead fore-sight with rounded muzzle, standing notch rear-sight to the top of the borderline and scroll engraved open frame, the left of frame marked 'BENTLEY'S PATENT 426', spurless hammer with Bentley's thumb safe, plain borderline engraved cylinder, finely chequered two-piece walnut grip, iron grip-straps, the pommel with concealed cap-box, guarded double-action only trigger and Bentley's patent sprung screw under-barrel rammer, traces only of original blued finish
