dated for September 1873, with blued octagonal 2in. barrel, colour hardened solid frame with Austrian proofs, swing-down loading gate, blued fluted cylinder, hammerless design with rear-mounted safe, chequered hard-rubber grips with carved shell design to the tops, folding trigger, the whole retaining most of its original finish and colour, with a period leather holster
