LIVERPOOL', crescent fore-sight, engraved band at muzzle, sighting groove to top-strap, borderline engraved solid frame marked 'TRANTER'S PATENT' at breech, plain cylinder (traces of colour) with rear ratchet locking, hinged loading gate, spurred hammer, guarded trigger and chequered walnut butt with ejector rod concealed in the iron butt-cap (traces of finish, action at fault); TOGETHER WITH a period English market mahogany case lined and compartmented in blue baize, label removed, missing key and compartment lids where appropriate
