circa 1800, with octagonal 6in. barrel, the top-flat with traces of a signature 'LONDON', engraved band at breech and London proofs, solid top-tang, bevel-edged step-tailed lock signed below pan 'WHEELER', hammer a working replacement, sliding safe to rear, roller-bearing to the frizzen-spring, walnut full-stock with chequered bag-shaped butt, iron furniture including pineapple finial, twin cupped side-nails (front one absent) and brass-tipped mahogany under-barrel ram-rod (cracked through and repaired behind lock, inlet to tip of fore-end)
