for 1860, with 6in. octagonal barrel, the top-flat signed on two lines 'ADDRESS SAML. COLT HARTFORD CT.', plain cylinder with traces of roll-engraved scene, open iron frame signed 'COLT'S PATENT', brass grip-straps and trigger-guard (slight traces of silver plating), smooth walnut one-piece grip and hinged under-barrel rammer; TOGETHER WITH an amateur produced but period 'Slim-Jim' leather full-flap holster
