circa 1870, with round fine damascus 26in. barrel, the top signed 'R.B. RODDA & CO LONDON & CALCUTTA', dove-tailed blade fore-sight, rear-sight with standing notch and three additional folding leaves, nocksform and breech-block marked 'SNIDER'S PATENT' together with an arrow device, border engraved bar-action lock signed 'RODDA & CO.' (strong traces of colour), carved hammer with sliding safe behind, walnut chequered straight hand half-stock with iron furniture including chequered spurred trigger-guard tang, replacement horn fore-end tip, under-barrel rib (lifting) with provision for clearing-rod, traces of finish throughout
