dated for 1888, with 21 1/2in. reblued barrel, fore-sight with side protectors, elevating ladder rear-sight, reblued slab-sided receiver, walnut butt-stock with inlet brass disk marked '5.04' over 'V' together with '20 MX' over 'C16', sold out of service stamps, iron furniture (cleaned bright), walnut three-quarter fore-end and iron nose-cap with under-barrel clearing rod, some loss to detail throughout
