A YATAGHAN SWORD WITH GOLD KOFTGARI-WORK,
circa 1860, with 24 1/2in. re-curving blade (possibly watered), narrow fullers for the full length of the back edge, both sides of the blade with panels of gold koftgari-work (some wear), cast white-metal blade-mount with coarse granulation and carving joining the hilt, en-suite grip-straps with raised detail and applied decoration (traces of gilding), bone 'eared' grip-scales, small losses and staining, no scabbard
