A 17TH CENTURY IRON-MOUNTED DAGGER AND SCABBARD,
central European and possibly modified from a small-sword, with single-edged broad fullered 7 1/4in. blade (extreme of tip missing), false edge for the last 2 1/4in., carved iron narrow grip with carved bulbous pommel and integral cross-guard (quillions reduced), the blade with some staining and loose surface corrosion; COMPLETE WITH its tapering cylindrical iron scabbard with embossed floral decoration, partial liner and 'Tudor rose' moulded iron chain hanger with wire links joining engraved plates
