A SILVER-HILTED MEDITERRANEAN KNIFE, possibly Canary Islands circa 1900, with a single-edged 5 3/8in. blade, false-edged for the last 1 5/8in. (tip re-profiled), the left side of blade stamped 'LIBERTAD' beneath a male bust flanked by stars (rubbed), chip-carved back edge with 'A.H.' repeated twice in the decoration, the narrow guard stamped '15', '600' grade silver hilt of semi-octagonal form tapering towards the blade and engraved with sparse floral designs, complete with its original leather scabbard with similar 'LIBERTAD' mark and belt catch stamped '15'
