A 22-BORE FLINTLOCK BOXLOCK CANNON-BARRELLED PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1775, with frozen turn-off 5in. barrel, squared boxlock central hammer action with 'MORTIMER' and 'LONDON' signed in script, slab-sided walnut butt with hallmarked oval silver escutcheon also engraved with an armorial of a goats head above a wreath, sliding trigger-guard bow safety, the whole worn with some loss to detail
