circa 1795, with octagonal 4in. barrels, the top-flats signed 'RIVIERE, LONDON', scroll and trophy engraved top-tangs, flat step-tailed locks with engraved detail and signed 'RIVIERE' beneath the rainproof pans, roller-bearings to the frizzen-springs, sliding safes behind the hammers, walnut full-stocks with smooth bag-shaped butts, iron furniture and horn-tipped wood ramrods
