both circa 1860, the first with a .31 calibre octagonal 4in. barrel, the left side signed 'ALLEN & WHEELOCK WORCESTER MASS. USA, ALLEN'S PT'S JAN 12, DEC 15. 1857, SEPT 7 1858', blade fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-rib, roll engraved five-shot cylinder, solid iron frame with rear-mounted cylinder arbor, side hammer, hinged loading lever also forming the trigger-guard and smooth flared walnut grips (traces of finish), the second similar but with a .36 calibre 6in. barrel (scrubbed clean of detail) and a six-shot cylinder, heavily cleaned with loss to detail
