US' over 'ALLEN'S PAT'S SEPT 7 NOV 9 1858 JULY 3 1860', dove-tailed brass fore-sight, sighting groove to the elongated top-strap, the left hand side of breech incorporating a mount for a lever operated rammer, the rammer's lever stored alongside the top-strap, plain cylinder, solid frame with side-hammer and sheath trigger, smooth flared walnut grips, slight amount of finish in sheltered areas,
