for 1861-62, with 7 1/2in. two-stage barrel (markings erased), plain cylinder, plain solid frame with frontal cylinder release and central hammer (number 111 on loading gate), smooth walnut grips, hinged ejection lever forming the trigger-guard, minimal traces of finish, some staining and pitting, mainly to barrel
