being one of a number of German Ordnance revolvers converted to double action after being sold out of service circa 1895-1900, with octagonal to round 5 3/4in. barrel, blade fore-sight, solid frame with side safe and 'church window' cylinder, replacement (at conversion) trigger-guard with spur removed, smooth walnut grips with later modifications, the whole re-finished
