circa 1882, with round 3 1/4in. barrel, the left side marked with the make and an 1878 patent, the raised top-rib marked with the model details, pinned crescent fore-sight, tip-up break-open frame, the ejector rod static under the barrel, fluted cylinder, single action only mechanism with spur trigger and chequered hard-rubber grips embossed 'JMM', the whole retaining a good amount of original nickel plated finish
