circa 1865, with fully fluted 3in. barrel-group, applied fore-sight (replaced), swivel locking device to top, moulded bronze frame signed 'WM. W. MARSTON PATENTED MAY 26 1857, NEW YORK CITY, IMPROVED 1864', the right hand side with a rotating safe combined barrel selector, external hammer and smooth flared walnut grips
