circa 1880, with round tapering 2 3/4in. barrel, applied crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, the strap also signed 'SMITH'S PATENT' and APRIL 16 1873 No 41', solid frame with fluted cylinder, spur trigger and central hammer, smooth rosewood birds-head grips, the whole retaining much plated finish, the remainder polished bright
