circa 1810, with re-browned twist-iron octagonal barrels, small blade fore-sights, standing notch rear-sights to the front of the channelled top-tangs, traces of gilded musical trophies to the tops of the patent breech-blocks with engraved bands behind, border engraved flat locks with pointed tails signed forwards of the hammers 'T. MORTIMER & SON', engraved hammers with sliding safes behind, rainproof pans, roller frizzens, walnut full-stocks with chequered saw-grips, flared pommels with inlet engraved iron plates, spurred square-backed guards and horn-tipped mahogany ramrod (one pistol with repair to wood forwards of the lock, the other with crack at grip)
