28in. sleeved nitro barrels retaining original rib, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 3/4 choke, scroll-back treble-grip action, Westley Richards patent toplever gold-inlaid '2', J. Deeley and L.B. Taylor patent had-detachable locks, patent no. 17731 of 28th July 1897, use number 481, detachable floorplate (numbered 16324), plain action gold-inlaid with the makers name and retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 15 1/8in. figured stock (crack at hand) including 1in. wooden extension, fore-end with small crack and missing finial, weight 6lb. 11oz., in a brass-cornered leather case
