circa 1870, with octagonal 8in. barrel signed by the maker, pinched blade pillar fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, solid frame, plain cylinder extended to the rear, smooth walnut grips with traces of a martial cartouche (both grips with filled and inlet repairs), hinged under-barrel rammer, refinished in antiquity
