A PAIR OF INDO-PERSIAN FORE-ARM BRACERS WITH INTEGRAL HAND PROTECTORS,
first quarter of the 19th century, with 14in. outer moulded iron guards engraved with geometric panels with traces of gold koftgari-work, the remaining areas with traces of silver koftgari-work, 6 1/2in. long inner arm guards attached via iron wire rings (losses), the interiors lined with padded multi-coloured material extending forwards to cover the respective fingers and thumbs mitten fashion (palm retaining straps absent), both bearing old Wallis & Wallis auction lot labels
