A RARE .36 PERCUSSION BREECH-LOADING SINGLE-SHOT PISTOL, serial no. 274,
manufactured between 1851-55, with 6in. two-stage barrel, milled band at the intersection, the top-flat at breech marked '**W. MARSTON ****** 1850' (remainder obscured), rounded moulded iron action with traces of scroll engraving and fitted with a screw elevation rear-sight, iron finger-lever withdrawing the bolt and exposing a loading aperture on the right, the lock with external off-set hammer and fitted with smooth walnut grips, finish worn

Other Notes: Only 750 iron framed versions of this pistol in all barrel lengths and 250 brass framed versions were produced
