A .577 PERCUSSION SERVICE-RIFLE, MODEL 'PATTERN '53', no visible serial number,
dated for 1862, with 39in. barrel rifled in three grooves, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, border engraved military type lock signed 'TOWER' below the date and marked with a 'V.R' device to tail, walnut three-quarter stock with Pimlico refurbishment stamp (old repair behind lock), brass furniture, the spur on the heel-plate marked 'L3' over '947', three Bradley barrel bands with retaining catches and iron ramrod
