circa 1795, with round 7in. iron barrel (some frosting and mild pitting), the flat sighting plane signed 'J. BARTON LONDON', engraved solid top-tang, bevel-edged step-tailed lock signed 'BARTON' beneath the pan, roller frizzen, sliding safe behind the hammer, walnut full-stock with slab-sided bag-shaped butt and horn-mounted mahogany ramrod, traces of finish to furniture
