circa 1950, with 14 1/2in. brass barrel, blued air-chamber with integral six-shot magazine with rotating cover, the body of the device marked 'HAMMERLI TRAINER MOD K31', 'PATENT' and the serial number, side-lever cocking with provision for bakelite toggle in imitation of the rifle bolt (toggle broken off, some pieces included), together with its blued top-clamp
