ENGLAND.', and with acanthus scroll detailing at the breech ends, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, scroll-back action with slender standing breech, the toplever gold-inlaid '2', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, rolled-edge triggerguard, fully engraved with acanthus scrollwork, the underside engraved and partially gold-inlaid with the model designation in an oval, retaining very slight traces original colour-hardening, 14 1/2in. highly-figured stock, weight 5lb. 14oz., in its lightweight leather 'The V.C.' guncase
