A 25-BORE FLINTLOCK DUELLING-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1785, with slightly swamped 10in. octagonal rebrowned barrel, crescent fore-sight, oval white-metal poincon at breech rubbed smooth, white metal band and lining to the touch-hole, private proofs, standing notch rear-sight to the top-tang, the tang engraved with borders and a seated bird, flat bevel-edged lock with stepped and pointed tail, floral engraving (rubbed), signed 'HAUGH' below the pan in script, roller frizzen, walnut half-stock (cut back from full) with slab-sided bag-shaped butt, iron butt-cap with rear tail, iron pillar fronted 'French' style trigger-guard bow, applied under-rib and replacement horn tipped ramrod
