30in. unsigned replacement nitro barrels (circa 1957), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, scroll-back treble-grip action with carved stylised leaf fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, bold acanthus scroll engraving and with scrolling banners engraved 'R. ROPER. SON & CO. LTD.', retaining very slight traces of finish, 14 1/2in. stock including 7/8in. rubber recoil pad, weight 6lb. 15oz., in a leather leg of mutton guncase
