dated for 1864 and believed intended to accompany a Henry .44 rifle, approximately 6in. x 3 3/4in and accommodating 24 rounds in three layers of eight canvas loops and covered by a stud fastening front flap stamped 'HENRY ARMS COMPANY 1864', the centre of the flap with applied domed brass oval vacant plate, belt loops to reverse of pouch
