A .577 FLINTLOCK SERVICE-PISTOL, MODEL 'LONG SEA-SERVICE', rack no. 12,
circa 1805, with 12in. iron barrel, Tower proofs at breech along with a moulded band, solid top-tang, borderline engraved lock signed 'I. GILL' overstamped with a 'GRIII' mark below a crown, the tail of the lock signed 'TOWER', walnut full-stock with carved apron around the top-tang and various Board of Ordnance stamps, brass furniture, the butt-cap stamped '12', iron belt-hook to left hand side and brass tipped wood ramrod
Other Notes: The vendor informs us that this pistol was acquired in 1967 from the Tower Armouries when they were auctioning off items to raise funds
