MOORE 16-BORE SNIDER PATENT SINGLE-BARRELLED HAMMER SHOTGUN, no visible serial number, 25 1/2in. black powder only damascus barrel, 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. 1/4 choke, Snider patent hinged breech, patent no. 1828 of June 21st 1862, non-rebounding sidelock (hammer missing), border and partial acanthus scroll engraving, 13 1/2in. half stock (some losses at fore-end) with horn finial and steel buttplate, the triggerguard engraved with a setter and with pineapple finial and extended lower tang to form a pistolgrip, weight 5lb. 7oz.
