circa 1857, with 24in. quill-tipped pipe-backed polished blade, signature and inspectors stamps together with a sold out of service mark at forte, brass hilt with muzzle-ring and drum quillion and composite chequered scales (worn smooth), complete with its brass-mounted black leather scabbard
