circa 1863, with tapering round 3in. iron barrel marked 'B.A. CO PATENT APRIL 14TH 1863', bead fore-sight, borderline and scroll engraved brass frame, cylinder with five forward sliding chambers on an interrupted thread, single action mechanism with spur trigger, smooth rounded walnut grips, fixed ejector, the whole cleaned of finish and together with a possibly period walnut case, relined and compartmented in green baize, reproduction 'Slocum' trade label inside lid and containing the revolver and a period empty carton for UMC .32 long cartridges, complete with case key
