JEFFRIES NORWICH', no visible serial number, circa 1870s, with 30 in. barrels with brass tipped ram-rod, half-stocked in walnut, with chequering on the wrist and fore-stock, locks holding firmly on half and full cock with border and scroll-work engraving, marked 'G. JEFFRIES NORWICH' above engraved game-birds, decoratively engraved steel furniture, plain steel butt-cap, 47 in. overall (NB - G. Jeffries is listed as a gun-smith in Norwich from 1841 to 1891, specialising in sporting guns and registered several patents during this period)
