A BRITISH 1796 PATTERN CAVALRY TROOPER'S SWORD, UNSIGNED,
circa 1810, with curved 33in. broad fullered blade widening at the tip, the back edge engraved '16', iron 'P' shaped hilt with broad langets to the crossguard and turned down quillion, wire bound ribbed leather covered wood hilt, plain back-strap with doveshead pommel and complete with its iron scabbard (musket ball damage near tip), blade with edge-nicks, exposed iron surfaces darkly stained
