South Arabia circa 1900, with 17in. curving double-edged blade with two shallow fullers to both sides extending to and narrowing at the tip, the central ridge engraved for the first third (traces of gilt fill), fully embossed sheet white metal mounts over a moulded wood core, triple-lobed cruciform pommel (part of mount absent) and three large domed rivets along the grip, the wood scabbard covered with embossed sheet white-metal for the first third, the lower section of engraved sheet brass, a leather strap wire bound to the central section
